Prudential’s Financial Management Transformation, Data Strategy & Stewardship Architecture team is seeking talented applicants for a Senior Business Analyst position located in Newark, NJ. The primary focus of this position is to transform, design, build, test, and deliver the data architecture meeting the analysis, modeling, and reporting needs of our finance and actuarial business partners. The current EWA for this position is hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a recurring basis as determined by our business team. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site. What you can expect: The individual will collaborate across functional teams (Actuarial Pricing & Valuation, and Technology) to support and execute on multiple large-scale projects to deliver best-in-class technology solutions to support input automation, reporting and analytics across modeling systems. Collaborate with the Institutional Retirement Valuation Team and Global Technology team on a high visibility actuarial infrastructure project to modernize financial management processes. Support the centralization and automation of the data feed process with cloud-based solutions.This includes, but not limited to, contributing to future-state design, gathering and assembling business requirements, and partnering with developers to build the future-state vision. Develop and drive test plans and perform unit testing on data management solutions Provide data and reporting analytics consulting services to the Retirement Valuation team and other business users. Support Integrated Modeling team for seamless outcomes between model data inputs, model execution, and model outcomes in the hands of the user. Own and maintain detailed documentation for the data warehouse, including data dictionary, business glossary, data enrichment logic and user guide. Develop and maintain model input documentation, including functional requirements, defect logs, test plans and release memos. Research and recommend process improvements to enhance stability, capability and efficiency. There is an expectation that applicants will pursue the actuarial exam track with the goal of becoming qualified actuaries. Exam support provided. What you’ll need: Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Economics, Business, Computer Science, Science-base, or analytical field. Knowledge of Institutional Retirement products, data, and/or processes is very advantageous. 3 years of process testing experience, preferably with data warehouse solutions. Experience with Agile operation model is a plus. Preferred knowledge of end-to-end modeling process and model inputs/outputs. Knowledge of AWS, relational databases, Oracle Business Intelligence suite and data warehousing concepts is preferred. Strong technical skills preferred: proficient in Excel, VBA, Access, SQL, Python, and Oracle BI. Strong project and process management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, competing priorities, and drive projects to completion in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Actuarial exams are a plus. The salary range for this role is from $92,400.00 to $137,400.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
