Our Line Drivers play an essential role in ensuring timely deliveries and happy customers. This is a full-time position, NOT seasonal. Salary rate. $0.51 PER MILE AND $24 FOR PHYSICAL LABOR OF LOAD AND UNLOADING. Responsibilities: - Pick up and deliver trailers between Service Centers and/or turn-point locations via tractor-trailer combinations.
- Efficiently load and/or unload freight using proper freight handling equipment.
- Take responsibility of and secure cargo.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspection of equipment.
- Communicate with management to receive instructions, report delays or safety hazards and report accidents involving the driver or Company equipment.
- Maybe required to drop and hook trailers and change the configuration of equipment as necessary.
- Comply with all DOT and state laws and regulations pertaining to the safe operation of a commercial vehicle.
- Must comply with Company Policy & Procedures and understand company’s vehicle accident reporting process.
- Must keep a copy of a valid CDL and medical card on person while driving.
- Work and drive in a safe manner, arrive to work well rested.
Requirements: - Maintain valid credentials (Class A License) as required by local, state or federal regulations.
- Must be able to read and follow directions in English.
- Must have current medical card
- Must have and provide an up to date, clean MVR. No older than 30 days from the date of application
- Must be 21 years of age and have 3 years of verifiable experience with Class 8 tractors
- Must know and understand all D.O.T. hours of service regulations pertaining to Class A CMV operators.
- Must be able to operate an Electronic Logging Device (ELD).
- Must know and be able to follow all applicable safety rules and procedures in all steps of the delivery process, in accordance with company, local, state and federal requirements.
- Must be trained and able to operate a forklift.
- Must be able to work outdoors, in hot and cold weather and occasionally in rain. · Complete assigned routes. · Complete required paperwork.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check. And register for the FMCSA Clearinghouse.
Salary rate. $0.51 PER MILE AND $24 FOR PHYSICAL LABOR OF LOAD AND UNLOADING.
