WAREHOUSE MANAGER WANTED
Location : Tarboro, NC
Position Type : Full-Time
Competitive salary of $44,000-$88,00 depending on qualifications and experience.
We are seeking a knowledgeable and results-driven individual to serve as warehouse manager of Prudential Stainless & Alloys, LP, a leading master distributor dedicated to servicing metal service center customers across the USA, Canada and abroad. We provide a wide range of products, specializing in unusual and difficult to find items.
Prudential Stainless & Alloys has been in business for 76 years. We are now moving to North Carolina! We pride ourselves on cultivating an environment of respect for our employees and growing with them. For example, we have never had a layoff in all our years of business, not even during COVID. We have many employees with 10, 20 and 30 years tenure with us.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree or higher not required but a plus.
Minimum 3 years experience as either a working foreman or manager.
Responsible, dependable, well organized, strong leadership skills.
Excellent people skills, communication skills and ability to work well with
others in a fast paced environment.
Stickler for adhering to safety guidelines / company policies and enforcing
same.
Able to / willing to learn how to operate machines (forklifts, side loaders,
order pickers, etc.) and measuring devices (micrometers, calipers).
Excellent math skills (fractions and decimals and accurate measurements
a must).
Responsibilities
Report directly to the General Manager.
Responsible for all warehouse operations, including safety, shipping,
receiving and inventory management.
Motivate, train, coordinate and direct skilled warehouse (shop) workers in
their daily and longer term tasks.
Resolve various matters with truckers, vendors, shop workers, and interface
with other department managers.
Coordinate OSHA quarterly safety meetings, as well as monthly shop
meetings.
Track daily progress / actions of shop employees with a daily log.
Handle time card calculations / track attendance.
Track expenses and purchases for the shop operation.
In charge of maintenance of the building with input from the GM.
Track lost inventory and assign counting personnel.
Help with the coordination of the move to NC and set up of the new
warehouse and yard.
Must be willing to come to New Jersey for 4 weeks to train for the position. We will pay for transport, housing and food during the training visit. (Details will be supplied to qualified candidates).
