Job Purpose :
PruittHealth Physician Services is actively seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate Medical Director to spearhead clinical care and elevate the quality of patient-centered services in post-acute and long-term care settings. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader in geriatric care to make a significant impact on clinical operations, drive process improvements, and champion ongoing education for healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Medical Practice Leadership : Direct overall clinical care for residents in post-acute and long-term care.
- Lead Facility Care Teams : Establish and uphold clinical standards that ensure exceptional patient care.
- Care Process Leadership : Guide the adoption of clinical and administrative protocols.
- Support Risk Management : Enhance safety outcomes throughout the facility.
- Quality of Care : Design and oversee quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure Compliance : Monitor adherence to state and federal healthcare regulations.
- Education, Communication, and Leadership : Deliver ongoing education and communication to staff, patients, and community members.
- Mentorship : Guide healthcare professionals, including nurse practitioners and medical trainees.
- Employee Health & Community Advocacy : Promote staff well-being through infection control measures.
