Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Specimen Management Associate to serve as the critical bridge between our histology lab team and front office/pathology team. This individual will focus on ensuring the accuracy of specimen information and patient demographics in pathology case output. The role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in the medical or biological fields to gain valuable, hands-on experience in a fast-paced laboratory setting.
Core Duties:
- Collaborate closely with both the histology, front office, and pathology teams
- Oversee specimen and case output from lab to pathologists
- Ensure precise specimen information and accurate patient registration
- Perform quality control (QC) for cases completed by the histology team
- Resolve specimen discrepancies with referring clinician teams
- File diagnostic slides, tissue blocks, and necessary paperwork
- Assist with additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
Required Skillset:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Comfortable with numbering systems and data management
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 4am-12pm
