PRYER Aerospace is hiring for a Stretch Form Operator. PRYER Aerospace is a leading provider of structural components, assemblies and kits to the aerospace industry. We specialize in the assembly and fabrication of complex sheet metal and machined components for commercial, corporate and military aircraft.
POSITION SUMMARY: Perform stretch form process(s) utilizing stretch forming equipment following process sequences for Stretching Procedures while optimizing its efficiency to meet demand.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Select gauge and type of sheet metal or nonmetallic material according to print specifications.
- Clean material (solvent or water wash basin).
- Operate forklift; sets-up and operates shear; mark dimensions and reference lines on material using dykem pin and scale.
- Operate stretch forming equipment, has knowledge of tool placement.
- Operate Press Brake.
- Provide feedback for product improvements for quality and cost as part of the ongoing learning process of operations.
- Support the company and department business goals and objectives for Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and Attitude (QCDSA).
Qualifications
EDUCATION: High School diploma or Equivalent.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Minimum three (3) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience using hand tools and inspection equipment such as tape measures, micrometers, height gauge, and calipers.
- Experience reading and understanding blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Ability to operate forklift.
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to lift 25 lbs
