What We’re Looking For

We need painters who:
Have experience in residential and commercial painting.
Work cleanly, efficiently, and professionally.
Can cut sharp lines, roll smooth coats, and handle detailed trim work.
Can follow a schedule and meet deadlines.
Can provide photo proof of their past work (see below).
Can work well with other trades (drywall, carpentry, flooring, etc.).

Required Proof of Work

Before being hired, you must provide detailed, close-up photos of:
Trim work – clean, sharp lines with no paint bleed.
Walls – smooth finish, even sheen, no roller marks.
Ceilings – no lap marks or streaks.
Cabinets – smooth, factory-like finishes with no visible brush marks.
Other painted surfaces – doors, baseboards, stair railings, etc.

If you are just starting out and don’t have many references, that’s okay! You still need to show proof of your abilitythrough photos or sample work.

Insurance Requirements

We prefer painters who have their own:
General Liability Insurance
Workers' Compensation Insurance

Don’t have insurance yet? No problem! Still apply, and we can discuss options.

Payment Structure: Hourly vs. Project-Based

Many subcontractors prefer to be paid per project instead of hourly. We are open to both options:

Project-Based Pay (Preferred by many subs)

• You bid on a job, we agree on a price, and you complete it within the set deadline.

Hourly Pay ($17–$30/hour)

• Steady, guaranteed pay.
• Better for detailed, long-term work.
• Must track hours accurately and stay productive.

Responsibilities

Surface preparation – sanding, priming, masking, and ensuring a flawless base.
Painting application – rolling, brushing, and spraying with precision.
Cleanup and quality checks – maintaining a clean job site.
Adhering to deadlines – finishing jobs on time with high-quality results.
