What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cables Manufacturing Manager position at Prysmian Group?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct and oversee the management of the cable production activities on all shifts and ensure overall performance objectives and KPI's are achieved.
- Maintain and/or update as necessary, plant safety systems and ensure that all associates are properly trained and in compliance with policies.
- Train and develop workforce in advance techniques and skills to enable opportunities to advance and to meet efficiency objectives.
- Manage the movement and accuracy of all materials; from the receipt of raw materials to the shipping of finished cables.
- Collaborate with all departments to improve overall manufacturing processes and customer service, both internal and external.
- Implement corporate LEAN manufacturing concepts throughout the cable production flow.
- Implement and maintain a comprehensive housekeeping plan.
- Promote open communication.
- Maintain employee timesheets.
- Perform employee appraisals
- Live and promote Draka Elevator Core Values.
The major responsibilities cover the most significant duties but do not exclude other occasional work assignments not mentioned, the inclusion of which would be in conformity with the normal duties assigned to this job.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrated leadership ability, including; coaching and mentoring
- Demonstrated ability to promote safety and quality in the workplace
- Analytical assessment and interpretation of performance data
- Team-based Project Management
- Skilled in SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Conflict resolution
- Excellent communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 3-years related experience
- Specialized advanced education in manufacturing processes and five years’ experience preferred
- English: Proficient in reading, writing and verbal communication
- SAP and Microsoft Office tools
- Motivational and innovational leader who assumes responsibility
