What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Specialist position at Prysmian Group?
Responsibilities:
- Inspect equipment periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance
- Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work
- Recruit, supervise and train maintenance technicians
- Supervise and train technicians
- Interview, hire and supervise tradesmen during repairs or maintenance work (electricians, mechanics, etc.)
- Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation etc.)
- Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance
- Monitor inventory of materials and equipment
- Participate in coordination of projects
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations
- Be a facilitator of culture change
- Assist the Maintenance Manager with development of entire maintenance team
Requirements and skills:
- Proven experience as maintenance supervisor or similar role for at least 5 years, preferably 8-10 years
- Technical associate's degree Preferred
- Strong technical knowledge of all types of mechanical and electrical equipment
- Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations
- Understanding of budgeting and performance management
- Proficient in developing best practices
- Data driven
- Analytical
- Excellent planning and leadership abilities
- An eye for detail
- Computer savvy with experience in Microsoft Office, CMMS
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional Certifications (e.g. CMRP) are preferred
