A supervisor's job is to manage employees, ensure work is done well, and communicate with upper management.
Responsibilities include
- Communicate : Act as a liaison between employees and management
- Support employees : Identify development needs and help employees succeed
- Prepare reports : Create reports and updates for management
- Interview employees : Screen and interview potential employees
- Plan work : assign tasks, and set priorities
- Provide guidance : Help employees understand what's expected of them and how to do it
- Monitor performance : Evaluate employee work and provide feedback
