A supervisor's job is to manage employees, ensure work is done well, and communicate with upper management.

Responsibilities include

  • Communicate : Act as a liaison between employees and management
  • Support employees : Identify development needs and help employees succeed
  • Prepare reports : Create reports and updates for management
  • Interview employees : Screen and interview potential employees
  • Plan work : assign tasks, and set priorities
  • Provide guidance : Help employees understand what's expected of them and how to do it
  • Monitor performance : Evaluate employee work and provide feedback
