Key Responsibilities
Recruitment, Onboarding & Offboarding:
- Assist in developing job descriptions.
- Support the new hire and internal job moves process, including pre-boarding, orientation, onboarding and associated transactions and documentation.
- Process exit paperwork and manage offboarding checklists for departing employees.
- Maintain employee records in the HRIS system, ensuring data accuracy.
- Work with vendor, employees, and other Human Resources members to offer Prysmian’s Tuition Reimbursement and Scholarship programs.
- Create and maintain HR purchasing requests including tracking, receiving and submitting invoices for payment.
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment, inquiries, and provide guidance on employee benefits programs.
- Communicate with managers and oversee the process for employee leaves and claims.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns, including coordinating responses with various departments.
- Support conflict resolution and dispute mediation.
- Organize employee engagement activities and events as needed. Support workplace health and safety initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Assist in reporting and organizing documentation for Affirmative Action Planning, audits, and reporting purposes.
- Support adherence to company policies and procedures.
Key Competencies & Skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Knowledge of basic employment laws and HR practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of HR experience.
- Experience transacting in an HRIS, preferably Workday.
- HR certifications such as SHRM-SCP, PHR a plus.
- Experience with ADP.
- Experience with SAP.
- Works out of a normal office environment with standard office equipment available.
- Extended periods of sitting or standing at a desk or workstation.
- Repetitive tasks such as typing, which may require dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Will be required to sit, bend, kneel, squat, use keyboard, read, write, and speak fluently.
- Employee will occasionally be required to lift and carry objects of 5-10 pounds as needed.
- Employee will be required to work productively and cooperatively in a high-volume, fast paced environment and be able to respond efficiently and courteously to unanticipated problems.
- This role is not typically exposed to adverse environmental conditions, except excessive eye strain.
- When travel is necessary, will be exposed to typical travel environment and surroundings.
