Position Description:
- Individual will be an employee of the Fiber Plant Maintenance department. The person shall provide support to all areas of the fiber facility
- Create purchase requisitions as needed for all Fiber Plant areas.
- Support Maintenance staff in material procurement and planning.
- Negotiate with suppliers regarding delivery times, production schedules, and forecasting needs.
- Act as point of contact for monthly and annual inventory procedures as defined by the Plant Controller.
- Comply with all applicable safety procedures and ISO14001 EMS guidelines
- Maintain exceptional housekeeping in maintenance support areas
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or a member of management
Education:
- Relevant Assoc. degree or equivalent experience
Required:
- Must complete OJT for specific job classification, as required, in a timely manner
- SAP Materials Management Module
- Experience in fiber optic manufacturing
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Excellent negotiation, customer service and consulting skills
- Strong market knowledge and experience in working across various functions, businesses and regions
