Summary/objective
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Coordinator has complete responsibility for safety, including safety meetings, 6S Daily Task Checks, accident investigations, and discipline for their assigned shift. They will be setting daily production expectations and follow-up when expectations are not met while focusing on GC1 Ops at the supervisor level.
Focus on operator engagement in safety and productivity/process improvement projects by leading and encouraging operator involvement. Ensures quality checks are performed by operators following documented inspection/test instructions, are completed at specified intervals, and are recorded in QEW. Promotes and implements cross-training to improve manning flexibility, assists management in driving continuous improvement projects. An individual will control and delegate schedules and maintenance issues, communicating changes as they occur.

- A safety leader who leads all associates in the identification and correction of unsafe behaviors and conditions.
- Promotes employee engagement in all other areas of Safety, daily processes and supports improvement projects and cultural changes.
- Leads the team in Tier 1 communications and escalates items to Tier 2 as needed.
- Proactive in communications and able to conduct productive team meetings
- Communicate performance expectations by linking them to the metrics and use of visual factory tools. Provides associate both positive and constructive performance feedback, improvement plans, and disciplinary reports as needed.
- Monitor material flow through all MPG's to ensure the plant is operating at maximum efficiency.
- Engages in regular two-way problem solving, uses data analysis to identify improvement opportunities, and teaches associates how to utilize controls to make better decisions.
- Monitors team performance, identifying priorities and resource allocation to guide associate problem-solving efforts.
- Responsible for reviewing and approving time and attendance for the shift.
- Lead improvement projects as identified by the team, and as required for specific shift/area improvement projects.
- Take an active role in process development and continuous improvement.
- Make daily touchpoints with the team to gain trust and begin making deposits into the emotional bank account.
- A problem solver and technical leader engage associates in root cause analysis.
- Advocates for associates while balancing the needs of all parties.

- Associate degree in Business Management or related discipline with 3 to 5 years of manufacturing experience or lieu of degree, several years of manufacturing experience with success in various team project leadership roles.
- Preferred - Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management or related discipline with 3 to 5 years of manufacturing experience, including success in various team projects or other leadership roles.
