Supervises a production shift in an assigned process area. The shift supervisor must lead shop floor associates to ensure daily operational goals and metrics are met as required by the Process Manager/Leader in a safe and clean environment while producing a quality product.

- Communicate and administer Prysmian policies and procedures.
- Ensure a safe work environment at all times.
- Troubleshoot process and equipment issues.
- Coordinate between different groups such as logistics and maintenance.
- Resolve conflicts on the shop floor.
- Perform necessary clerical activities such as time or record keeping.
- Drive quality and cost saving initiatives.
- Drive Lean principles.
- Guide, mentor, and lead shop floor associates.
- Lead by example.
- Abide by all rules and procedures.
- Treat all employees with respect and consistency.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Make safety first priority.
- Meet or exceed cost saving or quality goals set for the process area.
- Computer skills & ability that allow them to enter data, use email, and basic office programs.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to use written work instructions to complete task.
- Ability to use measuring equipment –including but not limited to OD tapes, calibers, and micrometers.
- Hazardous Waste Training.
- First Responders Training.
- High School/GED Diploma required.
- Associate, or bachelor’s degree in business preferred.
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
- Safety shoes and glasses required when working in the production areas.
- Hearing Protection required in posted areas.
- Other PPE as required for the job.
- Ability to stand 8-12 hours on concrete floors.
