Job Description
- Oversee the team managing third-party operating expense payments for APAC entities including vendor profile setup and invoice processing in SAP payment platforms across the Procure to Pay functions.
- Acquire an in-depth understanding of the regulations, tax handling, and accounting controls in multiple jurisdictions in Asia associated with vendor / employees' travel & expense payments.
- Ensure that the team identifies problems and control gaps and comes up with innovative solutions to mitigate risks.
- Drive & manage process transformation initiatives & projects to enhance operating efficiencies & controls within the processes.
- Manage business escalations and conflicts / complex issues in a timely manner.
- Build relationships with stakeholders at all levels across different regions and divisions.
- Exhibit confidence in communicating in a variety of forums, sessions, presentations, training sessions, and townhalls.
- Analyze data to identify trends / root causes in order to effectively engage stakeholders to address problems and opportunities for improvements.
Job Requirement
As a Senior Manager / Vice President (Accounts Payable / Japanese speaking), you will oversee the team responsible for managing third-party operating expense payments for APAC entities. This includes setting up vendor profiles and processing invoices in SAP payment platforms across the Procure to Pay functions.
You will acquire an in-depth understanding of the regulations, tax handling, and accounting controls in multiple jurisdictions in Asia associated with vendor / employees' travel & expense payments.
The successful candidate will ensure that the team identifies problems and control gaps and comes up with innovative solutions to mitigate risks. They will drive and manage process transformation initiatives & projects to enhance operating efficiencies & controls within the processes.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree with 8-15 years' experience in accounts payable, invoice processing, procurement, and vendor management. Fluency in Japanese for business context (reading, writing, and spoken) is required to oversee the Japan market.
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills are essential for managing conflicts / complex issues. The ability to lead a team, coach / mentor others, and drive assignments to completion is also critical.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong attention to detail, are necessary for success in this role. Experience with ERP knowledge, implementation & transformation experience on SAP (Concur, Ariba, Fieldglass, S4 / HANA), and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint are highly desirable.
