Job Opportunity: Security Guard – HOA Guard House

Location: Farmingdale - Melville area

Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

or

Saturday and Sunday Part Time 2:00pm-10:00pm

Availability: Must work holidays if they fall on your regular workday.

PSA Security is seeking a **highly reliable and professional Security Guard** to oversee the guardhouse operations for a Homeowners Association (HOA). This position requires an individual who can effectively manage visitor access, operate security systems, and enforce community rules while maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor.

Key Responsibilities

Visitor Management: Operate and maintain the HOA’s Visitor Management System to record and monitor all guest entries and exits.

Access Control: Verify visitor authorization and enforce entry restrictions for unauthorized individuals.

Computer Skills: Efficiently use computer systems for incident reporting, logging visitor information, and managing daily activity records.

Communication: Communicate effectively with residents, guests, and property management, providing clear and concise updates as needed.

Policy Enforcement: Uphold HOA rules and security protocols while addressing any non-compliance issues professionally.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Reliability: Must have a proven track record of dependability, punctuality, and the ability to consistently meet work obligations.

Transportation: Reliable transportation to ensure timely arrival for all shifts, including holidays.

Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using computers and learning visitor management systems.

Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact courteously and professionally with residents and guests while remaining firm on security policies.

Problem-Solving: Ability to assess situations, de-escalate conflicts, and make sound decisions under pressure.

Attention to Detail: Diligence in monitoring visitor logs, identifying unauthorized individuals, and following all security protocols.

Prior experience in security, hospitality, or a similar role is preferred but not required.

Pay: $18.25 - $19.25 per hour
