Calibration Technicians are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and precision of measurements taken by various instruments and equipment. The technician works with a wide range of instruments, from simple gauges to complex electronic devices, ensuring they meet specified standards and regulations.

Your Role

- Calibration: Regularly calibrate instruments and equipment to maintain their accuracy. This involves adjusting and fine-tuning devices to meet required specifications.
- Testing: Perform tests on equipment to ascertain their functionality and precision. This may include running diagnostic tests and interpreting results.
- Documentation: Keep detailed records of calibration processes, results, and any adjustments made. This documentation is essential for compliance and quality assurance.
- Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance on instruments to ensure they remain in optimal working condition. Identify and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Compliance: Ensure all instruments comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines. Stay updated on any changes in these standards.
- Training: Train and guide other staff members on proper calibration techniques and the importance of maintaining accurate measurements.
- An associate degree or technical certification in a related field such as engineering, electronics, or instrumentation.
- Relevant work experience in calibration or a related technical role.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of calibration techniques, measurement principles, and various types of instruments.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in calibration is paramount, requiring meticulous attention to detail and a methodical approach.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with instruments, ensuring they perform correctly.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting processes and training staff.
- Analytical Skills: Capability to analyze data and interpret test results accurately.
- Organizational Skills: Efficient in managing time and tasks, ensuring all equipment is calibrated within required timelines.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industry-specific standards and regulations related to calibration.
