Part-Time Skilled Labor – Industrial Outage Work
Wage: $26.00 per hour
Time and a half on overnights, and after 8 hours on day shift.
$150 per diem per shift worked
Part time position: 12 hour shifts; 6-8 shifts a month
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Reports to: Foreman
Location: Lincoln, NE
PSC Construction’s expectations for Part-time Skilled Laborer position is to help with team as needed with dry vac industrial outage work.
Essential Functions:
- Frequently use hands and talk/hear
- Ability to see color
- Frequently lift, bend, stoop, climb, and jump
- Being near machinery and loud noises
- Changes in temperature
- Working regularly around dirt and dust
- Walk long distances and stand long periods of time
- English written and verbal communication skills
- Reasoning, math, and language
Job Description:
Works 2-4 shifts twice a month (every 12 days)
Works weekends/holidays as needed
Holiday pay when working on the holiday.
Day shift: 6am- 6pm (paid at 8 hours standard pay and 4 hours overtime pay)
OR
Overnight shift: 6pm- 6am (paid at 1 ½ pay)
Safe operation of hand and power tools
Lift, carry, and move flexible tubing
Work in many climate changes within confined spaces
Load and unload building materials
Requirements:
Mandatory background and drug screening – meets OSCC standards
Mandatory Pulmonary testing and Respirator fitting after hired
Entry level experience in dry vac, underground utility, earthwork, and/or the civil construction industry
Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
OSHA 10 or 30 a plus
Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
