Underground Utility Skilled Laborer II
Wage: $30.15 per hour
Full time position: 45 hour per week
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Reports to Foreman
PSC Construction is seeking full-time Underground Utility Skilled Laborers to help with grading and underground utility installations for heavy industrial and private clients.
Essential Functions:
- Frequently use hands and talk/hear
- Ability to see color
- Frequently lift, bend, stoop, climb, and jump
- Continuous driving automotive equipment
- Being near machinery
- Changes in temperature
- Working regularly around dirt and dust
- Walk long distances and stand long periods of time
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Reasoning, math, and language
- Occasional travel
Job Description:
Safe operation of hand and power tools
Knowledge of concrete forming and finishing
Dig ditches or trenches, backfill and compact trenches using some equipment
Installation of water, sewer, and storm drain piping
Load and unload building materials
Requirements:
Mandatory background and drug screening
3 verifiable years of experience in underground utility, earthwork, and/or the civil construction industry
Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
OSHA 10 or 30 a plus
Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
