What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Laser Operator position at PSC?
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate laser cutting machines to cut, trim, or fabricate metal parts according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine the correct dimensions and tolerances
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy of cuts
- Inspect finished parts for quality and make adjustments as needed
- Maintain and troubleshoot laser cutting equipment
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area
Skills:
- Proficient in using hand tools and precision measuring instruments
- Strong blueprint reading skills
- Ability to assemble and disassemble tooling for laser cutting machines
- Experience working with sheet metal is preferred
- Familiarity with operating cranes or other lifting equipment is a plus
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
