General Summary
The Digital Merchandising Manager/Senior Manager will oversee the strategy and execution of online merchandising initiatives to optimize sales, enhance the customer experience, and drive profitable growth for PSD.com. This role will play a pivotal part in curating and optimizing the website and app’s merchandising strategy. The ideal candidate will be product-focused, highly analytical and deeply familiar with online shopping behaviors/optimizations.
Essential Job Functions
- Develop and execute relevant strategies to bring assortments to life for the consumer through storytelling and optimized site capabilities to improve engagement, increase sales & maximize sell-through
- Build a cohesive content strategy and calendar for the site, ensuring alignment between product, commercial and marketing initiatives to effectively highlight key styles, major initiatives, and weekly business priorities
- Oversee and optimize all product launch needs for digital merchandising, including product loads, product placement, sorting, navigation, filters, cross sells, product reviews and PDP and PLP layouts
- Continuously analyze product and category metrics, user behavior data, customer feedback and competitive landscape to identify opportunities to create new features/functionality to optimize the consumer shopping journey
- Track and report on site performance, including site refreshes, category/product performance, and new features. Provide actionable recommendations to enhance business outcomes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (digital media, customer care, UX/UI, inventory planning, finance) to align digital merchandising efforts with broader company goals
- Partner with the content and photography teams to create compelling visual and written content that enhances product appeal and storytelling
- Partner with E-Commerce team to develop tests & strategies to improve site navigation, product search functionality, and overall content/usability that drive revenue and improve consumer experience
- Collaborate on marketing content/calendars by recommending and reviewing product highlights and stories, ensuring they align with the site experience and new product launches
- Build, manage & mentor digital merchandising team including any direct reports
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong knowledge and understanding of apparel/fashion ecommerce consumer behaviors
- Knowledge of marketing and customer programs, data, and results
- Knowledge of supervisory requirements and practices with a “Player/Coach” mentality- strong attention to detail and management skills
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and lead by example at both strategic and tactical levels
- Ability to interpret business/website trends into actionable insights
- Ability to communicate professionally with coworkers, customers, and vendors
- Ability to work independently and meet managerial goals
- Ability to organize daily activities of self and others and to work as a team player
Required Education and Experience
- 5 years of Digital Merchandising experience
- Experience working with Shopify Plus and content management systems/other relevant digital merchandising tools (onsite search, personalization, etc.)
The pay range for this position is $110-$130k annually, with bonus eligibility. PSD offers medical, dental, vision and 401k options. The role is designated for Hybrid status, requiring a minimum of 1-2 days per week in the Irvine, CA office.
