Description

PSECU, a high-tech, progressive financial institution with more than $7 billion in assets, is seeking a Deposit Product Manager. This position is responsible for the growth, retention, and product development efforts for PSECU’s deposit product portfolio. This includes the identification and implementation of product pricing, promotions, and product enhancements to support the organization’s overall strategy and goals.

This position will collaborate across stakeholders to develop and deliver new deposit products and features that delight our members and drive our growth. The successful incumbent will have a focus on the day-to-day management of the Deposit business and act as a subject matter expert.

This dynamic position is required to have strong interpersonal skills to work with PSECU management, external specialists, vendors, and other financial institutions. Creative thinking and independence are also important for this position. The Deposit Product Manager will report directly to the Director, Marketing & Deposit Strategy.

Starting Salary: $68,585/yr.- $109,735/yr. (commensurate with experience)

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm flexible This is a hybrid schedule working remotely with a minimum onsite expectation of 20%, or as needed.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES - Essential for this position:

  • Understand the overall product vision and strategy, and lead the implementation of the deposit product roadmap
  • Lead the development of deposit initiatives that support our brand such as pricing, growth and operational initiatives in collaboration with various other teams throughout the organization to implement recommendations that strengthen deposit product features, positioning or processes.
  • Establish key success metrics jointly with Finance team and drive the day-to-day management of the business to ensure key KPIs are met/exceeded.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners including IT, Compliance, Finance, Member experience and others involved as stakeholders in the transformation of our Deposit products.
  • Collaborate with Marketing team to establish positioning & key differentiators of new & existing deposit products.
  • Collaborate with Digital Member Experience team to identify & evaluate technologies to solve key member pain points.
  • Complete business casing and build relationships in support of gaining support and the necessary resources to execute and product improvements.
  • Act as a deposit SME for audit and compliance initiatives, partnering with key stakeholders to ensure updated product manuals, adherence to internal policies, regulatory obligations and deadlines are met according to plans.
  • Present reports to the Executive on initiative results, strategy, and needs and solutions to support deposit growth.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES - Essential for all PSECU Management:

  • Knowledge - Maintain required knowledge, skills and abilities in assigned area of expertise, including the laws, standards, fundamentals, methods, procedures, and techniques required for job. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of PSECU’s Collective Bargaining Unit Agreement, processes, related business processes, and the business world outside PSECU. Maintain knowledge PSECU’s goals, culture, philosophy, products and services, bylaws, policies, and internal practices.
  • Workflow Management - Manage time effectively; meet deadlines; and produce quality work requiring little or no review. Manage high volume of work assignments.
  • Judgment - Exercise good judgment and appropriate decision making within scope of job.
  • Communication - Effectively communicate with audience appropriate content and detail both verbally and in writing.
  • Relationship Management - Maintain strong and effective interpersonal skills and effective working relationships with all stakeholders, both internal and external. Demonstrate PSECUs Operating Principles of PRIDE (Partnership, Reliability, Improvement, Dedication, and Ethics).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance as required for acceptable performance and accountabilities of this position.
  • Maintain confidentiality, in particular with credit union account information, as well as other information designated as confidential.
  • Responsible for the establishment and ongoing maintenance of an effective system of internal control within the scope of assigned job responsibilities.
  • Must meet creditworthiness standards.
  • Notify Human Resources in writing if convicted of a misdemeanor or felony involving dishonesty, breach of trust or violation of the Pennsylvania Credit Union Code (17 Pa. S. C. A. 101 et seq.) during the course of employment with PSECU.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES - Non-essential:

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Acts as backup to the Director.

MINIMUM / PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

Minimum Experience:

Bachelor's Degree Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field

And six years’ experience in the field of product management, strategy, or related experience with PSECU in a position requiring similar knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Demonstrated experience and success in product design in a financial/banking environment

Or any equivalent combination of experience and education.

Preferred Experience:

Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field
