Hybrid flexible are roles that can be performed remotely but require some level of onsite work/in-person interactions on a regular basis, require employees to live within a commutable distance and, since business needs vary by position and may change over time, managers will set expectations and flexibility regarding where and when work is performed.

Fully remote are roles that can be performed remotely, require employees to live in approved states and will have purpose-driven in-person interactions on occasion.

Job Summary

The position will primarily support a Power line of business. Areas of responsibility include creating and maintaining the annual plan (Online and/or Outage O&M). Support month end closing activities including journal entries, variance analysis and ad-hoc analysis and reporting. Create and maintain SAP standing orders. Identify and perform analysis of major O&M expense drivers and cost saving opportunities for clients. Provide integrated financial and operating information such as goal performance, resource allocation and optimization to provide value to the business planning process on a continual basis. The group works collaboratively with its Power clients, other areas of Power Finance and Accounting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for working with the client to prepare and create the annual cost plan in SAP and PCM specifically focused on Online and/or Outage O&M expenses.
  • Support the month end, quarter end and year-end closing processes. These can include creating and maintaining journal entries, conducting actual vs plan variance analysis, creating ad hoc analysis.
  • Preparation of reports or analysis specifically requested by the client providing value added insights to assist in the decision-making process
  • Assist in analyzing results and identify areas of opportunity for efficiency and cost savings
  • Communicate or present findings to all levels of management
  • Creation of SAP standing orders ensuring correct accounting for the work performed
  • Support the preparation and presentation of the annual business plan for senior management approval
  • Working with Accounting to ensure all entries are accurately recorded and reflected in monthly results
  • Preparation and analysis of key metric impacting performance such as overtime or cost per unit metrics

Job Specific Qualifications

  • 6-7 years experience; with Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering or related field, Finance (business planning) or accounting
