Job Summary
The position is responsible for driving Engineering and supporting other Network Engineers in their day-to-day operational activities. You will additionally work on high level design documentation, creating high-level topology drawings, and testing new technology. The Technology Engineer is a direct report to the Technology Group Product Manager with understanding of business goals, business processes, and technology expertise in these areas.

The Network Engineer is involved in the full technology life cycle and is responsible for designing, coding, configuring, testing, implementing and supporting software, hardware and systems. Network Engineer will work closely with Analysts and Product Managers to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and physical design of technical solutions. Network Engineer may be assigned to either implementation or support functions. Implementation involves creating new technology-based solutions whereas support involves upgrades, maintenance or issue resolution to existing technology solutions.
Job Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities are :
- Design, configuration, development, documentation and testing of technology solutions to meet business or technology requirements.
- Collaboration with internal and external teams / vendors to ensure proper integration of technology solutions while maintaining the highest levels of network availability and performance.
- Analysis and translation of end user needs into technology solution capabilities and designs. Provide recommendations for technology alternatives and lead the delivery of network solutions, including requirements analysis, internal proposal preparation, evaluation of supplier proposals, tool selection, and implementation planning.
- Perform network traffic analysis, predict LAN network bandwidth needs, and recommend modifications to the network configurations which reduces costs, maintains regulatory compliance and improves service.
- Peer review of designs, implementation plans, software code, configuration settings or other artifacts.
- Work with IT Product teams and other IT areas as appropriate throughout the development, testing and implementation life cycle, including participation in troubleshooting of production issues.
- Maintain currency in network technologies and industry trends.
- Participating in the planning and execution of critical patches and version upgrades.
- Create technical process flowcharts, diagrams, drawings and other related documentation.
- Applies operational break fixes and performs other proactive maintenance activities until permanent solutions can be implemented.
- Documents capabilities and any changes to new or existing components and associated test activities and test results.
- Makes solutions and solution parts production-ready by following the standard change management processes, completing required forms, following procedures, completing version control documents, etc.
