2nd shift Injection Mold Setter

• Make necessary equipment changeovers by following the procedure for installing and setting a mold.
• Facilitate the connection and operation of auxiliary equipment including, but not limited to chillers, thermolator, gas assist, hot tip controllers, conveyor systems, automation end-of-arm tooling, etc.
• Successfully complete forklift and overhead crane training and utilize the equipment in a safe manner while performing daily duties.
• Must follow all safety and work instructions along with completion of all required documentation.
• Provide input on the injection molding process and equipment for the reduction of defects, overall process improvement, and/or the reduction of downtime.
• Participate in continuing education opportunities offered by the company.
• Must complete and maintain ISO competencies for the department.
• Responsible for the housekeeping of the injection molding machines and surrounding areas as defined in the department procedures after mold tools are installed or removed.
• Maintains an open line of communication to ensure all problems and changes are communicated and resolved in a timely manner.
• As requested, assist other team members in cross-training and conduct on-the-job training of other mold setters.
• Actively participates in Continuous Improvement teams and activities, including 6S & safety. Facilitate and support facility and manufacturing safety, environmental, and ergonomics efforts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and experience required for the role.

1. High School diploma or equivalent.

2. Must be punctual and dependable.

3. Able to work with little supervision.
