We are now looking for an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic Plumbing project management team.
Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable APM to work with our project management team in the Commercial, High Rise Residential, Healthcare and Hospitality industry in NYC. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project management procedures, excellent communication skills, an affable demeanor, a high level of organizational skills, and a proven track record of providing quality support to project managers, and foreman in the field. The ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of plumbing materials and methods and should be able to read plumbing plans. The candidate will work in close proximity with project managers to learn company-specific operations.
This is an onsite position with occasional travel (<5%) into the city. The business hours are 7:30 am - 4:00 pm EST.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide regular updates on project status, changes, and milestones.
- Allocate resources and materials to meet project deadlines.
- Write Change orders, Provide Submittals & Closing Documents.
- Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, scope of work outlines.
- Assist in Scheduling the work team to ensure that deadlines are met.
- Assist in reviewing blueprints and building plans to determine construction requirements.
- Managing relationships with contractors, vendors, and subcontractors.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Computing proficiency (email, MS Office suite, etc…)
- Previous experience in the plumbing industry
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Self-Motivated, Goal-Oriented
- English speaking
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
