Senior Designer – Women’s Lifestyle Categories

Onsite in Manhattan, NY
The Senior Designer will lead the design and development of commercially viable, brand-right collections across all women’s lifestyle categories, including fashion tops and dresses, sweaters, outerwear, denim, and bottoms. This role requires a strong understanding of trend analysis, consumer insights, and business strategy to deliver innovative designs that resonate with the customer and align with seasonal and brand goals.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver brand-right collections for women’s lifestyle categories, focusing on style, fit, and fabric innovation.
Develop seasonal products aligned with conceptual direction and business strategies.
Incorporate feedback to finalize designs, ensuring adherence to budget and timelines.
Conduct trend analysis and competitor research to inform and inspire designs.
Collaborate with Merchandising, Marketing, and Product Development throughout the design process.
Present designs to internal teams and cross-functional partners, showcasing concepts and execution.
Oversee design sketches, prototypes, and specifications, ensuring high-quality results.
Proactively address challenges and implement solutions to meet goals.
Lead, inspire, and mentor junior designers to cultivate a high-performing team.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and streamline processes for faster delivery.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Design or equivalent experience.
8 years of design experience in women’s lifestyle categories within a comparable retail environment.
Strong commercial fashion sense with a keen eye for detail in styling and performance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Illustrator, InDesign, and Adobe Creative Suite; Centric experience is a plus.
Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop talent.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage multiple levels of leadership.
Results-oriented with a strong customer-first approach.
Adaptable and agile in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Hybrid work schedule required in our NYC office.
