Our client, a renowned construction and engineering design firm, is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their team. This position calls for a highly skilled professional with a strong background in technical leadership and strategic project management. The selected candidate will act as a key representative of the firm, engaging with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
In this leadership role, you will manage the entire design team, including in-house specialists in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and technology systems, along with external consultants such as architects, structural engineers, and civil engineers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee project designs, evaluations, and technical analyses.
- Perform quality assurance reviews for designs prepared by both internal and external teams.
- Lead the project team in efficiently managing design modifications.
- Develop and coordinate design proposals, including estimating in-house engineering resources.
- Manage contract administration, scheduling, and cost control.
- Establish and maintain project budgets and timelines.
- Monitor project progress, costs, and deliverables, providing regular updates to clients and management.
- Facilitate project kickoff meetings, coordination sessions, and design reviews.
- Ensure project tasks are completed on time and within financial constraints.
- Act as the primary liaison between the firm and clients, ensuring clear communication and expectations.
- Promote collaboration and information-sharing across multidisciplinary teams.
- Interface with local authorities and contractors to support permitting and construction activities.
- Oversee contractual obligations, ensuring compliance with service agreements and preparing additional service requests as necessary.
- Foster and maintain strong client relationships through proactive engagement and timely responses.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Conduct on-site fieldwork as required.
- Organize and lead construction site walkthroughs and project meetings.
- Ensure all designs and construction activities meet client specifications and performance benchmarks.
- Undertake other responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ten to fifteen years of direct experience within an architectural or consulting engineering firm.
- At least five years of experience managing multidisciplinary building design teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and lead effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, SharePoint, and Procore.
- Experience managing large-scale design and construction projects.
- Expertise in complex technical projects such as Mission Critical, Cleanroom, or Manufacturing facilities.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of mathematical accuracy.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal and external teams.
- In-depth knowledge of industry codes, standards, and construction/engineering processes.
- Strong analytical mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing design issues.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License or Architectural (AIA) License highly desired.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification highly desired.
- LEED Accreditation and/or WELL Certification highly desired.
- Experience in Data Center projects highly desired.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills highly desired.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- May be tasked with lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling up to 25 lbs., if able to do so.
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and walk/stand for moderate periods of time.
- Must be able to bend at the knees and waist frequently
- Must be able to repetitively use a telephone and a computer mouse and keyboard.

Salary : $130,000 - $160,000
