What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weekend Janitor position at PSJS?
Overview
Shift: Friday 3 hours after 5pm
Saturday & Sunday (we are flexible on the start times and can be broken up into two shifts) 8 hours total each shift. Start times can be determined at interview. Hours can be shared if you and a spouse would like to work together.
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role is essential to the overall upkeep of our premises, requiring a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
- Conduct commercial cleaning duties in offices, restrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, and common areas.
- Assist with custodial duties including waste disposal.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained after use.
- Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of cleanliness throughout the facility.
Experience
- Experience in residential painting or facilities maintenance can be beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards consistently.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
