POSITION: Shift Lead Engineer, Monitoring & Diagnostics

JOB SUMMARY
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Responsible for the coordination daily operations in the M&D center
- This includes scheduling shift rotations for Jupiter/Houston
- Responsible for assigning, tracking, monitoring & closing of Team Support & ILDB items as a result daily check, smart limits, notifications (trips, runbacks, etc.), hot line calls and internal requests.
- Responsible for escalating issues from M&D to SE Extended Engineering Support or internal PSM R&D groups.
- Responsible for the continuous improvement of the Operations and Diagnostics of the M&D group
- Coordinating and leading turnover between Jupiter/Houston staff
- Coordinating and interacting with internal and external customers.
- Lead daily troubleshooting efforts on operations, combustion, performance, and upgrades (Autotune, Gtop, FlameSheet).
- Produce technical letters and presentations to support troubleshooting and record keeping of onsite events
- Lead technical discussions and documentation within the different groups within PSM and our LTA Fleet.
- Support procedure improvement efforts to better support the customers
- Support with onsite troubleshooting and analysis to resolve issues as needed
- Perform detailed performance analysis and reports as needed
- Conduct group discussions to provide technical responses to combustion components
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education & Training
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other relevant field.
- Must complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM’s EHS Training Matrix
Skills/Experience
- 7 years of experience in the power industry or related field with a working knowledge of gas turbine operation, shift rotations in particular GE and Siemens large frame units
- Requires strong team building & project management skills.
- Must be effective in communicating and decision-making.
- Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills required.
- Ability to respond quickly (sense of urgency) and commitment to action is require and identifying the proper technical resource.
- Knowledge of IGT combustion systems & GE & SW controls systems, a plus
- Must live and be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Domestic travel required. Limited international travel may also be required.
