Job Summary:
This position is the primary customer contact for our client located in Ladson, SC. The program manager is responsible for all key metrics that include but are not limited to:
- Cost savings, profitability, customer satisfaction and team leadership. Providing the right tool at the right price and the right time. Efficiently and Accurately performing all tasks related to exceeding our customer's requirements.
- Key Attributes: Driven, self-starter with a strong desire to learn and grow with the business. Must be able to represent the company professionally at all times. Ability to interface with customer at multiple levels. Significant portion of the job will be tool engineering, however, must also be able to effectively communicate with management to report out on achievements or corrective actions. Relationship building is an expectation.
Responsibilities:
· Manage the customer relationship within the plant(s)
· Provide leadership to existing PSMI team members
- Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services through improvements to each function (HR, IT, Finance) as well as coordination and communication between functions
- Drive initiatives in the plant that contribute to long-term operational excellence and cost savings
- Utilize financial data to improve profitability
- Develop/maintain inventory management systems designed to control inventory
- Liaison with PSMI management. Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity
- Drive improvement via key metrics as defined by PSMI management
- Develop effective business relationships with the customer and supply base
- Perform purchasing/receiving functions as needed
- Create and provide reports and presentations
- Drive continuous improvement with cost savings and process improvement meeting customer objectives
- Monitor tool performance and report the results
- Review manufacturing reports and root cause problem processes

- Focus on through-put improvements and total cost methodology
- Promote safety and encourage a safe working environment
- Education:
- Degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering
- Relevant Industry knowledge and tooling experience
- Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with cutting tools and abrasive tools
- Well-rounded understanding of material, surface finishes and surface treatment
- Ability to read and understand tooling and work piece blueprints
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with a strong emphasis on Excel
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- Safety Requirements: Steel toe shoes (Not Provided), Safety Glasses, Gloves and Ear Protection Provided.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to bend, stoop, stretch, lift, move, and carry tooling and materials weighing 50 pounds or less.
