Certified Nursing Assistant
FACILITY : Legent East El Paso Hospital
LOCATION : El Paso
TYPE : PRN DAY OR NIGHT available
Physicians Surgical Network Affiliates, are looking for PRN nurses to join our team in El Paso. PSN Affiliates, manages surgery centers throughout Texas and is looking for talented nurses to partner with to give superior patient care.
Minimum Requirements
HS Diploma or equivalent education.
CPR Certification required.
Certified Nurse Assistant Certification required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software and EMR software is preferred.
Minimum of one (1) year CNA experience.
Federal-, State-and Company required credentials current and on file.
Position Summary
The Certified Nurse Assistant is responsible for assisting in the delivery of skilled, technical care as appropriate to the clinical area, unit and / or department needs, and according to established policies and procedures.
Position Responsibilities
Assists patient with eating, drinking, dressing, bathing and personal hygiene.
Ensure patient’s comfort and well-being is priority.
Transports patients to and from other departments as needed and aids with tray set up and patient positioning.
Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiration, daily weights and dietary intake of assigned patients, and records output fluids.
Accurately records information according to department procedure to ensure inclusion in the patient’s medical record.
Reports changes in a patient’s condition to a registered nurse promptly.
Performs specific, technical patient care procedures such as administration of enemas, applications of heat and cold.
Assist the nurses and other staff as needed.
Adhere to professional standards, follow policies and procedures and abide by federal, state and local requirements, as well as Joint Commission standards.
All other duties as assigned.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES :
Completes required orientation as directed by facility.
Follows facility and OSHA safety rules and procedures while on assignment.
Respects cultural and religious practices of patients.
Upholds HIPAA regulations.
Punctual and dependent for assigned / confirmed shifts.
