Physicians Surgical Network Affiliates are looking for a full-time clerks to join our team in El Paso. PSN Affiliates, manages surgery centers throughout Texas and is looking for talented nurses to partner with to give superior patient care.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Working knowledge of medical terminology and experience in a healthcare setting preferred
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Position Summary
The Unit Clerk is responsible for the daily operation and follow-through of the unit station, overseeing the implementation of physician’s orders and nursing procedures for the delivery of quality patient care.
Position Responsibilities
Answers telephone in a courteous manner exchanging information in an appropriate manner which requires good oral and written communication skills
Ensures call lights and telephone are answered in a timely manner and ensures messages are recorded and delivered in a timely manner.
Update and maintain medical records; prepare patient records and charts for daily treatments, and assist in auditing records for ongoing compliance as required.
Prioritizes and works independently in organizing the nursing unit station, keeping station clean and presentable.
Notifies the appropriate staff member of patients needs; follow up to ensure needs have been addressed
Orders and stocks supplies for the unit; orders equipment for the unit as needed
Serves as liaison between physicians, staff members and other departments.
Maintains confidentiality of privileged information.
This position also has contact with physicians, nurses, visitors and patients.
All other duties as assigned
