About the job
We are seeking a self-motivated sales professional to lead sales in Maryland. Field (Outside) Sales Representative will be supporting Sanger Sequencing, Nanopore Sequencing and Oligo Synthesis businesses in an assigned territory. You will be exploring sales growth opportunities and sales development to our current clients and cultivating new clients to become long standing ones. In this position, after successfully completing our one-week service & territory management training and evaluation, you will visit potential clients on a regular basis to promote our service.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the following:
Traditional door to door sales - walking laboratories/organizations and knocking on doors speaking with prospective clients.
Demonstrates genomic service (sanger sequencing, nanopore sequencing, oligo synthesis).
Communicates and develops rapport with clients.
Promotes sanger sequencing services to clients by visiting them at their organizations in an assigned territory.
Educates sample preparation and order submission process.
Continuously maintains a detailed knowledge of services, pricing and service differences in comparison with competition.
Cultivates new sales prospects and expands customer opportunities to achieve sales growth of sanger sequencing service.
Meets and exceeds sales goals as established by the supervisor and manages daily sales activities.
Collaborates with sales, customer service and technical support teams.
Maintains sample dropboxes located in an assigned territory.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree
Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate with all levels within and outside the company
Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision
Travel within the territory as needed to meet with clients
Occasional overnight travel
Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Must have the ability to travel within your assigned territory.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science or Biology-related majors
Experience in selling genetic sequencing services or related laboratory services
Bilingual (English / Korean) - 100% in both verbal and written forms
