Job Summary:

We are seeking a Project Logistics Specialist to manage the collection, transportation, storage, registration, and packaging of biological specimens, ensure accurate tracking and compliance with regulatory standards, collaborate with laboratories and external partners, maintain inventory, troubleshoot issues, uphold quality control procedures, prepare reports, and train new staff to ensure proper specimen handling and process adherence.

Responsibility

• Sample Collection and Handling: Coordinate the transportation, receiving, storage, registration, and packaging for return of biological specimens to ensure proper traceability.
• Specimen Tracking: Maintain and update accurate records of specimen movements and locations.
• Collaboration with Laboratories: Collaborate with laboratory staff, and external partners to ensure the timely receipt and delivery of specimens, while facilitating communication between teams regarding specimen needs, requirements, and statuses.
• Documentation and Compliance: Ensure proper documentation, including chain-of-custody records and consent forms, is maintained in compliance with regulatory standards, while handling and storing specimens according to ethical guidelines and relevant regulations.
• Inventory Management: Manage and track inventory of specimen-related supplies, including collection kits, storage containers, and labeling materials, while monitoring inventory levels and coordinating reordering as needed.
• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Address issues related to specimen handling, transportation, or storage, escalate to management when necessary, and investigate discrepancies in specimen tracking or storage to implement corrective actions.
• Quality Control and Assurance: Ensure specimens are handled according to established standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control guidelines, while regularly reviewing and updating SOPs related to specimen management.
• Reporting: Prepare regular reports on specimen status, inventory levels, and any incidents encountered during specimen handling, while providing feedback to management on operational improvements related to specimen coordination.
• Training and Support: Train new staff on proper specimen collection, handling, and storage protocols, while providing ongoing support and guidance to ensure accurate adherence to all specimen-related processes.

• Education
  • High school diploma or higher are welcome to apply.
  • Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Laboratory Technology, Biotechnology, Health Sciences, or a related field is highly desirable.
• Experience
  • At least 1 years of experience in biological specimen management, laboratory operations, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with specimen tracking systems, logistics, or inventory management is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience in a regulated environment (e.g., healthcare, research, or pharmaceutical industries) is a plus
• Proficient in using Laboratory Information Management System, and Microsoft office.
• Excellent organization skills with a strong focus on accuracy, documentation, and traceability.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams, laboratory staff, and external partners.
• Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting issues related to specimen handling, transportation, and storage.
• Ability to lift and transport specimen containers or related materials as necessary.
• Comfortable working in a laboratory environment, with adherence to safety protocols.
