About being our Project Manager - Capital Improvement Projects
As our Project Manager - Capital Improvement Projects (CIP), you will be responsible for planning and coordinating all aspects of public works capital improvement for coastal improvement projects, buildings, roadway, sidewalk, drainage, landscape, infrastructure, utility, and ADA improvements.
Responsibility Highlights for our Project Manager - Capital Improvement Projects
- Prepare project schedules, budgets, grant applications, permit applications, requests for proposals, consultant agreements, public notices, council and board reports, and other project specific documents
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and initiate corrective actions
- Direct consultant selection procedures, administering consultant contracts, facilitate bidding, and administering construction contracts
Minimum Qualifications to be our Project Manager - Capital Improvement Projects
- 5 years of directly related experience working in public works engineering and construction
- Analytical skills with attention to detail including excellent proof-reading skills
- Excellent communication skills required with the proven ability to successfully communicate complex issues in a clear and organized manner
Preferred Qualifications to be our Project Manager - Capital Improvement Projects
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related engineering discipline
- Valid California Professional Engineering (PE) license
