About being our Field Land Surveyor
As our Field Land Surveyor, you will assist the Crew Chief, with moderate supervision in specialized field survey work while using modern field survey instruments. You will have the opportunity to participate in different types of field work, including but not limited to boundary identification, right-of-way monument and design surveys, construction staking, topographic mapping, and ALTA surveys of real property.
Responsibility Highlights for our Field Land Surveyor
- Utilizing and operating all types of survey instruments and equipment
- Acquiring and applying standard note-keeping & sketching methods
- Preparing total station, GPS base, and other supplies for daily staking tasks
- Understanding and applying proper survey procedures with Party Chief
Minimum Qualifications to be our Field Land Surveyor
- 3 years relevant experience in Land Surveying
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Working understanding of Geometric and Trigonometric mathematical principles
- Experience collecting data with GPS, robotic total station and data collectors
- Physically capable to work outdoors in all types of terrain and varying weather conditions for up to 12 hours a day
- Ability to sit, stand, kneel, walk, crawl, climb, swing, chop, dig, lift and carry up to 100 lbs. for distances up to 100 ft. over uneven terrain
