About being our Office/Field Engineer
As our Office Engineer/Field Engineer, you'll support projects for the $300M Sunnyvale Cleanwater Program, which has construction scheduled through 2028. Candidates must be able to make the daily commute. Future assignments may vary in scope, complexity, and size.
Responsibility Highlights for our Office/Field Engineer
- Provide technical support of field construction matters including writing change orders, processing documents, and progress payments
- Process project communications between client, design engineer, and contractor
- Observe construction activities on an active construction site
- Assist with document interpretation of project plans and specifications
- Maintain project files, documents, and as-built schedules
- Monitor Prevailing Wage laws, regulations, and labor compliance efforts
Minimum Qualifications to be our Office/Field Engineer
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
- Prior experience with general civil infrastructure and public works construction
- Knowledge of the construction process and the ability to read, understand, and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with minimal supervision and manage deadlines
- Ability to work on an active construction site, including walking over uneven terrain, climbing ladders, crawling, stooping and entering confined spaces, being outdoors in inclement weather, wearing proper safety equipment, and practicing industry safety protocols
Preferred Qualifications for our Office/Field Engineer
- 3 years of experience with civil infrastructure and public works construction
- Engineer In Training (EIT) certification
