About being our Urban Design / Planning Intern
As an Urban Design / Planning Intern , supporting our award winning, passionate, and talented planning and design team in the South Jordan (Salt Lake City area), you will have the opportunity to practice what you are learning, while building upon your technical skills, abilities and knowledge. You will work on a variety of major planning and site design projects. Work includes research, site planning, completing reports, development of large and small-scale plans, infographics and more. Our range of projects includes master planned mixed-use communities; parks, plaza trails, and resorts; commercial, multifamily, and office park developments; small and station area plans; transit-oriented developments and mobility hubs; due diligence zoning ordinance research, GIS data creation and manipulation.
Responsibility Highlights for our Urban Design / Planning Intern
- Creating base map files from multiple sources and documents
- Creating and inputting concept drawings into CAD
- Assisting in the creation of construction documents and details in CAD
- Preparation of illustrative exhibits including 3D graphics
- Assisting in the preparation of project reports and presentations
Minimum Qualifications to be our Urban Design / Planning Intern
Computer program knowledge and functionality including : AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp and Microsoft Office Suite
