Job Overview
We are seeking a mid to senior-level SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and optimize SQL Server environments. This role involves database administration, performance tuning, high availability, backup/recovery, security, and database migrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 environments
- Use Redgate and LogicMonitor for monitoring database performance and health
- Oversee SQL Server high availability, backup/recovery (via Cohesity), security, and database migrations
- Perform performance tuning and optimization, including Materialized Views, Data Compression, In-Memory OLTP, and Advanced Indexing
- Develop basic PowerShell scripts for automation and monitoring tasks
- Collaborate with system administrators who manage Linux and Windows OS (all SQL servers run on Windows)
- Support future improvements and adoption of advanced database features
