The selected candidate will be part of a full-stack team supporting QEG’s cloud-enabled signal generation, back-testing, data, and analytics platforms. These platforms manage active, factor, and alternate strategy funds.
The ideal candidate is passionate about technology and modern software engineering practices to build the next-generation quantitative research platforms in the cloud. They will create proof-of-concepts (POCs) to validate patterns proposed by architecture and platform teams and help deploy AWS applications to production.

- Non-local candidates must be willing to relocate within two weeks and work onsite from Day 1 in NC.
- Local candidates must be available for onsite interviews.

Must-Have Skills
- 6 years of experience as a Python Engineer.
- Strong Python software development experience in analytics applications with large data sets.
- Expertise in Python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn, Dash, Dask, Flask, Boto3, etc.
- Strong SQL expertise with experience in optimizing SQL queries.
- Experience in AWS services including EC2, CloudWatch, ECS, SageMaker, Step Functions, Lambda, PostgreSQL, Aurora.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline tools like Bamboo, Bitbucket, Artifactory, and Ansible.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles, including object-oriented design, data structures, dependency injection, testable code, and algorithms.
- Familiarity with software engineering tools like PyCharm, VS Code, Git, etc.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code and read code developed by others.
- Highly collaborative, quick learner, and adaptable.
- Strong enthusiasm for learning and experimenting with new technologies and methodologies.
