POSITION: Case Management Program Assistant
Make a difference in the lives of older adults, their families and the community in The Bronx. For over 50 years PSS has performed vital and important work – through its 10 senior centers, two apartment buildings, caregiver services and affiliated programs, the agency touches the lives of over 1,000 people a day. The Program Assistant role is vital for maintaining an organized and efficient workplace environment for the social workers supporting advocating for older adult community members in The Bronx.
This is position reports to the Program Director
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with fellow team members in order to support the success of the initiative and advance the mission of the organization.
- Strategize to promote the program and develop public education workshops.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with the director and the social workers on the team.
- Manage the schedule for social workers making home visits
- Answer, triage, and transfer all calls received for the initiative
- Collaborate with director regarding submission of requests to the department of finance
- Collaborate with the team in order to promote public health and wellness seminars
- Track all calls accurately in the relevant database.
- Enter new partnerships, organizations, and contacts into Salesforce.
- Support social workers when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bilingual in English/Spanish
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
- Excellent Interpersonal and Organizational Skills
- Excellent Office Management and Computer Skills with proficiency of Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Knowledge of Salesforce strongly preferred
