What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stadium Event Assistant (Game Day) position at PSSI Stadium LLC?
Are you looking to jump-start your career in the Sports industry? Acrisure Stadium is looking for eager young professionals interested in gaining hands-on entry-level experience working large-scale sporting events. Candidates will be part of a team of Stadium Event Assistants dedicated to learning techniques for customer service, venue operations, de-escalation, and incident response while working alongside a diverse team of event day staff.
This is a part time, event day position for the 2025-2026 season to include Pittsburgh Steelers games, Pitt Panthers football games, major stadium events, and potential for additional office days and private events as needed.
This position will expose candidates to various game day roles including but not limited to Guest Services Attendant, Club Attendant, Ticket Taker, Usher, Suite Attendant, Elevator Operator, Entertainment Liaison, Access Control Monitor, Wristband Distribution Assistant, and more. Through learning these fan-facing positions and working alongside front office staff members, candidates will also receive early access and consideration for upcoming employment opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Acrisure Stadium Operations team with various operational tasks for all 2025-2026 Pittsburgh Steelers and Pitt Panthers home games.
- Assist in game day setup including staff check-in, material prep, building checks, and pregame hospitality assistance.
- Participate in pre-event meetings outlining objectives, timelines, and responsibilities.
- Enforce all Acrisure Stadium safety and security policies and procedures.
- Learn first-hand how to handle customer service inquiries professionally and accurately to create exceptional fan experience.
- Shadow and assist all stadium operations departments (Club Events, Suite Ops, Guest Experience, Event Ops, Ticket Ops, Entertainment Ops, Facility Ops).
- Assist with execution of marketing and promotional game day elements.
- Provide and discuss post-event feedback regarding opportunities to improve the game day operation.
- Opportunity for additional events including Steelers Fashion Show, Hall of Honor Weekend, Alumni Weekend, game day staff training sessions, WPIAL football, private events, and more.

- Attention to detail and proactive approach in providing excellent customer service to all guests and fans.
- Must be comfortable working independently as well as in a team setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to stand and work outside for long periods of time and walk long distances.
