Overview:
The Director of Marketing will lead and execute all marketing strategies and initiatives for a Freightliner dealership to enhance brand visibility, increase sales, and drive customer engagement. This role is responsible for developing comprehensive marketing campaigns, managing digital and traditional marketing efforts, overseeing the dealership's online presence, and ensuring all marketing activities align with company goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with dealership goals and drives growth in both sales and service.
- Identify target markets, industry trends, and competitive landscape to ensure positioning and messaging are differentiated and compelling.
- Collaborate with the sales team to create lead generation programs and support revenue growth.
- Digital Marketing & Online Presence:
- Oversee the dealership’s website, ensuring it is regularly updated, optimized, and reflects the company’s brand.
- Manage social media platforms and digital advertising (SEO, PPC, display ads, email marketing) to drive traffic, engage customers, and convert leads.
- Utilize analytics and performance metrics to optimize online campaigns and improve ROI.
- Brand Management:
- Maintain consistency of the dealership’s brand across all touchpoints and marketing materials.
- Develop and execute creative marketing collateral, including brochures, flyers, advertisements, and promotional content.
- Ensure the dealership’s reputation is positively represented in all marketing and customer-facing activities.
- Market Research & Analysis:
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, behaviors, and competitive activities.
- Analyze sales data and marketing campaign performance to identify opportunities for improvement and refine future strategies.
- Customer Feedback & Engagement:
- Respond to customer feedback, ensuring that customer insights are integrated into marketing strategies and initiatives.
- Developing and implementing engagement strategies to effectively engage customers.
- Identifying and segmenting customer groups to tailor engagement efforts.
- Tracking, analyzing, and reporting on customer engagement metrics.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Manage and mentor the marketing team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
- Work closely with other departments (Sales, Service, Finance) to align marketing initiatives with overall dealership objectives.
- Lead and coordinate with external agencies, contractors, or vendors when needed.
- Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to achieve maximum return on investment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a marketing leadership role, preferably in the automotive, commercial vehicle, or B2B sectors.
- Proven success in developing and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, traditional, and event-based).
- Strong understanding of digital marketing platforms, tools, and analytics (Google Analytics, SEO, SEM, email marketing).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative mindset with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and deadlines.
- Experience with branding, market research, and customer engagement strategies.
- Knowledge of Freightliner products and services is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
