Laborer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have some experience in plumbing, landscaping knowledge and mechanical aptitude.

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Assist Pump truck drivers to set up and operate vacuum trucks. This includes lifting, carrying and pulling hoses of up to 150 lbs., climbing on to the unit (12’ high) for inspections, standing, kneeling or bending for long periods of time. Includes but is not limited to exposing & backfilling septic tanks, grease traps, pump vaults, etc.

·Assist Service Technicians to ensure accurate and safe set up and operation of sewer cleaning equipment. This may include lifting equipment & materials weighing up to 150 lbs., standing for long periods of time, and climbing on to the unit for inspections.

·May be required to drive company vehicles as needed including those with manual and automatic transmissions.

·Inspect, use and maintain various personal protection equipment including chemical protective suits, respiratory protection equipment, safety harnesses, and air monitoring equipment.

·Maintain knowledge of plumbing industry.

·Responsible for his/her own on the job safety and work quality.

·Reports on the job inquiries and accidents immediately.

·Ensure professional and safe operation of vehicles while on customer property and over the road.

·Comply with all transportation and safety regulations, Federal, State and Local OSHA regulations.

·Regular, reliable and physical attendance is an essential function of this position.

·Ensure daily paperwork is accurate, legible and turned in at the end of each day, including maps and material lists.

·Assist construction crew with septic tank installations, major sewer and plumbing repair, and others.

·Confined space trained.

·Perform septic tank repairs, risers and other minor sewer/plumbing repairs.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess a valid California Driver's License and must have an insurable driving record be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 42 per week
