The Clinical Director is responsible for overseeing and developing the clinical program, specifically focused on providing mental health support and trauma-informed care to an incarcerated population. The role includes hiring, supervising, evaluating, and scheduling clinical staff. You will be tasked with developing, planning, and implementing strategies that ensure the program's continuity and growth, with the goal of encouraging prosocial behavior and supporting successful reintegration into the community upon release. This role requires someone with strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, as well as a passion for supporting incarcerated individuals in their mental health recovery and reintegration.
Requirements
Job Qualifications :
- Licensed Clinical Psychologist
- 3-5 years of program management and staff supervision experience, including building high-performing clinical teams
- Expertise in identifying and implementing evidence-based practices
- Experience in crisis settings with individuals and families
- Flexible working hours
- Strong skills in program development, evaluation, organization, and public speaking
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Proficient with EHR systems and databases
- Ability to adapt to a multicultural, community-based environment
- Commitment to confidentiality and maintaining professional boundaries
- Understanding of the agency’s mission and culture
- Ability to work with diverse socioeconomic and cultural groups
- Reliable transportation, valid NYS license with clear driving record, and proof of insurance
- Employment contingent on completion of U.S. Department of Justice Form I-9
- Additional duties as assigned by Program Directors
