We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our private practice. All of our providers value work life balance and want the same for the providers we employ. We are open to a hybrid work schedule and for flexible hours to allow time for life and family activities. We feel it is important to have time and space to engage in activities that are conducive to self care. We will also work with providers with any special interests in patient care they may have.
We allow adequate time for providers to meet with patients for medication management and brief targeted psychotherapies. Typical new evaluations are 1 hour, and follow up visits are 30 minutes. The frequency of visits for patients is flexible depending on the patients' needs anywhere from weekly to quarterly.
We are looking for someone who wants to treat the whole person including medications (if warranted) and lifestyle changes - life engagement, healthy nutrition, physical activity, and social connection.
We plan to expand our practice to offer a variety treatment modalities for treatment refractory disorders using rTMS, Ketamine, Spravato. We also have a vision of creating a center that is wellness-focused that may include other treatment modalities including craniosacral therapy, meditation courses, and support groups.
The employment arrangement is flexible. A provider joining our group can be employed part-time, employed full-time, or a 1099 contractor. A full-time employee will receive benefits including paid time off, health insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, retirement savings, and a continuing education stipend. Compensation is negotiable.
Duties
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Provide medication management and monitor patient responses to treatments.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.
- Shared call.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing or equivalent training.
- Current certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is required along with several years of experience.
- Strong understanding of medical documentation practices.
