What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Psychiatry of Texas?
Will be accompanying a provider on rounds or on clinic and working closely with patients.
MUST have active CMA license or RMA license and license number as this is needed for credentialing in the hospital.
MUST be good with computers/technology (proficient in Microsoft office and Google)
Specific duties in the clinic:
- will start patient intake process and document pertinent information
- will be present in the patient room during the interview
- will make changes to the treatment plan based on discussion with the providers
- call insurance companies to verify insurance coverage and prior authorizations
- call pharmacy to verify medications
- prepare and inject patients with medications
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
