This position involves managing patient interactions, coordinating appointments, and providing essential administrative support to the entire clinic's staff and healthcare providers. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a background in medical terminology, enabling them to effectively communicate with patients and staff alike.
Duties
- Greet and check in clients with warmth and professionalism
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the calendar for multiple providers
- Handle client inquiries with discretion and sensitivity
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Process payments
- Track and handle referrals
- Manage office supplies and maintain a clean, organized reception and waiting area
- Coordinate communication between clients and clinicians as needed
- Perform general administrative tasks to support the practice
Requirements
- Previous experience in a medical office or mental health office setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
