Job Description : We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Behavioral Health Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to deliver comprehensive mental health services to residents in long-term care facilities. Your primary responsibilities will include :
- Address the behavioral and physical health needs of clients receiving treatment for psychiatric symptoms.
- Perform Health care screenings and check vital signs.
- Administering medications and monitoring their effects.
- Providing therapeutic interventions and counseling to residents.
- Collaborating with the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Educating residents, families, and staff about mental health conditions and treatments.
- Documenting and maintaining accurate records of patient care.
